The Kooky Addams Family

Don't you ever get tired of playing by the rules? In reality, most of us follow a certain standard from day to day. We act a specific way around our neighbors that is considered "normal." We respond to strangers the way we've been taught. We tell our children to act a certain way and dress a certain way. It's all a big conforming process. If you fail to conform, then you just may be ostracized. And we all know that most folks don't want that. But what if we did act different, dress different, interact with others differently, and just plain live completely by our own rules? Hey, this is what the Addams Family does.

Do you want to know what's so great about the Addams Family? They don't care! This must be quite liberating. They literally do what they want to do, say what they want to say, live how they want to live, and play how they want to play. And that's not just M.C. Hammer who believes this. Nope, the Addams Family is the epitome of the freedom. They decided to be different and make their own rules. Basically what I'm saying is it's great! We should all take pointers from the Addams Family and loosen up a bit. They don't hurt anyone, so there's really nothing wrong with it. Now, of course I do realize that this is a fictional family, but they still make a wonderful point about life. They show you how great it can be when you live on your own terms and worry less.

Now that we've established that people live fairly reserved and conservative lives, we should all try and evolve. Be more like the Addams Family and have more fun. No one's saying you have to play with swords, have a hairy mop running around, or live in a house full of cobwebs. I am just addressing the FUN aspect. Stress less over minute things that occur daily and just have a good time. Life is too short not to. Oh, and if you're interested in watching the Addams Family, you can always check out the old series or the newer films on DVD. These are worth a viewing if you've never seen them.
